Position Summary
The Field Operations Engineer will play an integral role in deploying and maintaining the company’s artificial intelligence infrastructure solutions which will include installation and maintenance of company hardware and software products, managing inventory, and providing customer support.
Role and Responsibilities
- Manage client relationships through the implementation and support process
- Write and update documentation and other content for customers based on feedback
- Confirm that the hardware meets customer requirements for effective performance
- Responsible for timely response to inbound phone and email support inquiries
- Appropriately escalates questions and concerns to the management team
- Coordinate on site visits with vendors and customers as required.
- Monitor inbound support tickets and promptly respond to assigned field tickets according to contractual customer service level agreements.
- Provide technical support (both remote and on-site) of Rekor hardware systems and software applications including advanced troubleshooting of computer software, hardware & electronics.
- Able to climb a ladder 12’ to 24’
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED. Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field preferred
- Experience working with IP based cameras
- Solid computer & electronics technical background with understanding and hands-on experience with tools such as multimeters, ethernet cable testers, POE switches, modems, & power injectors.
- Advanced knowledge of network, telephony, and wireless technology.
- Experience with the physical installation of camera systems
- Ability to travel domestically 100%
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Desire to grow your knowledge in SaaS products and Linux
- Must be self-motivated and self-managed to perform the required duties at a distance from direct supervision.
- Ability to manage multiple complicated and evolving projects
- Proven experience implementing software solutions across multiple architectures
- Strong interpersonal skills including verbal and written
- Willingness to go above and beyond the minimum requirements
- Fundamental knowledge of software, servers, and networking
- Previous experience using a CRM tool
- License Plate Recognition Experience a plus
- CJIS Certification a plus
