We’re Hiring: Full-Time Maintenance Technician (Multi-Site)
Oxford Nanopore is looking for an experienced full-time Maintenance Technician with strong hands-on skills and sound knowledge of property maintenance to join our Facilities team.

The Role
This is a varied, fast-paced position supporting multiple environments and ensuring business continuity. The Facilities team is often first response to critical incidents such as power loss or flooding, so the ability to remain calm, adaptable, and decisive in changing situations is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- General building and property maintenance
- Office moves and meeting room setups
- Property inspections
- Reactive and planned maintenance works
- Supervising contractors and managing permits to work
- Reviewing risk assessments and method statements
- Logging and updating helpdesk tickets
- Supporting emergency situations
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in a property maintenance role within busy, varied environments
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
- Sound knowledge of HVAC, Building Management Systems (BMS), and other M&E equipment
- Customer-focused, reliable, and a strong team player
- Full, clean driving licence
- Experience working within a scientific environment is desirable but not essential.

- This is a multi-site role; use of your own vehicle is essential (fuel reimbursed)
- Flexibility is required, including regular work outside normal hours

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Maintenance Person to join our Facilities team. The successful candidate will provide support to the business with maintenance, contractor supervision and property inspections
