The Details:
- Manage new business and growth accounts to achieve the sales order and revenue targets
- Build and manage an opportunity funnel to achieve those targets
- Strategically execute your own and the company’s tactics to build that funnel through focussed customer calls and contacts – cold calls and account management for new business
- Manage incoming sales leads and nurture to conversion
- Strategic outbound prospecting for new business
- Deliver up-to-date technical product updates to new and existing customers
- Actively implement sales campaigns at the guidance of the marketing and communication teams or self-directed
- Adhere to standard methodologies for tracking, recording and documenting relevant commercial intelligence in our CRM (SFDC)
- A BSc degree and/or Masters (preferably in Life Sciences, genetics, and genomics), a PhD may be advantageous but isn't required for the role.
- You'll have prior sales experience, preferably inside sales and have worked with research/life science customers and you know your way around CRM systems.
- You will understand current DNA sequencing technologies and their applications, strong communication and influencing skills and knowledge of the Life Sciences and Genomics market.
- You will be an excellent team player and able to build positive relationships with others. Ideally, you have experience of working in a distributed team, and you're comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
- You have a positive approach with a can-do mindset and can use your initiative as well as exercise good judgement and tact.
