We are seeking a motivated Embedded Software Engineer that wants to define the future of thermal control and energy for Earth, the Moon, and beyond. The main responsibilities of this position will be designing, developing, and testing system software for our thermal control and robotics systems. The selected candidate must be capable of working independently and defining the direction of the software platform to meet the needs of the project requirements. Must be willing to relocate to Luxembourg.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field

• 3+ years of experience in embedded development
• Proficient in embedded C
• Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS)
• Experience with C++ and Python
• Experience with embedded communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, CAN, and RS422

• Experience using version control tools such as Git
• Good interpersonal skills and able to work as a part of an interdisciplinary team
• B2 English or higher

Desired Skills:

• Experience developing fault tolerance code following standards such as MISRA-C

• Experience working in a fast-paced startup and/or aerospace environment
• Ability to test and analyze performance of platforms with simulations and HIL testing
• Knowledge of robotic systems including integration of various sensors, motors, state estimation, control systems, and perception
• Knowledge of thermodynamics or previous coursework
• Experience with MatLab or a similar platform
• Experience with Azure DevOps
• Experience working on systems engineering tasks such as requirement formulation, traceability matrices, FMEA
• Experience following Agile methodologies when developing software
• Knowledge of ECSS standards
