Sales and Success Leader - IVF/PGT - Western US
Juniper Genomics
About you: You build trust before you build a pipeline. You lead with integrity, listen more than you talk, and genuinely care about the people on the other side of the conversation. You’re energized by early-stage work: deepening existing Juniper relationships, opening new doors, iterating fast. You're scrappy but not sloppy. You hustle with heart. You may or may not have sold into fertility clinics before, but you understand complex clinical sales and have a track record of earning the trust of physicians and lab leaders. You're excited to work hard at a fast moving startup and notch wins while doing life-changing work.
About the role: As Juniper’s first dedicated sales hire, you’ll lead the growth of commercial relationships for our whole-genome preimplantation genetic tests (PGT-A and PGT-G) across California and the Western US. You’ll be supported by a team of scientific and clinical experts, and you’ll have meaningful input into sales and marketing strategy. You’ll inherit existing customer relationships and an active pipeline, deepen them, grow volume, and expand into new accounts. Our sales process is consultative and science-led: engage REIs, IVF lab directors, embryologists, and patient care teams; earn scientific buy-in; guide onboarding; expand usage over time.
About us: Juniper Genomics is a venture-backed start-up using genomics and modern data science to improve IVF success rates and access, reducing the burden of trying to conceive. Our preimplantation genetic test (PGT-G) uses whole genome and transcriptome data to deliver transformational outcomes to patients and clinics. We are a team of experts in genomics, medicine, ethics and business; and we’re committed to rigorous science paired with thoughtful ethics, kindness, honesty, and respect for families’ informed decisions.
Culture: You will find us to be supportive, flexible, passionate and consensus-oriented. No Rules Rules, 5 Dysfunctions, Turn the Ship Around, Radical Candor.
How to apply: Please send your resume and cover email to jobs@junipergenomics.com. In your cover email, we’d love to hear about a time you earned a customer’s trust in a way that made you proud, especially when it wasn’t the easiest path to a sale.
Diversity doesn’t come from checklists! If you are excited about this opportunity and even a few of the details below match up, contact us anyway.
What you'll do:
Grow and Deepen Relationships
- Be introduced into existing customer relationships to earn trust, deepen engagement, and grow test volume as you become their go-to contact.
- Expand into new clinics: map decision-makers, build top-of-funnel pipeline, and lead scientific conversations that earn buy-in.
- Guide clinics from initial commitment through onboarding, first-patient identification, and ongoing adoption.
- Own the post-onboarding relationship: remove adoption barriers and help clinics integrate Juniper into their standard workflows.
Shape the Business
- Be the voice of the customer: bring clinic feedback and insights back to the rest of the team to shape our product priorities and refine our marketing strategy.
- Represent Juniper at PCRS, ASRM, ESHRE, and other industry conferences.
Qualifications
You have:
- A track record in complex clinical sales, earning trust with physicians and other clinical stakeholders, and driving adoption of new technology.
- A customer success mindset, meaning you care about what happens after a clinic signs on.
- Success operating independently in early-stage environments with high ambiguity and rapid iteration.
- Strong communication skills: you can explain PGT to a geneticist and a clinic administrator in the same meeting.
- You live in California and are willing to travel throughout California and the Western US - expect to spend at least 50% of your time on the road.
- You have a valid driver's license and are legally permitted to work in the US and travel internationally.
Definitely helpful:
- Experience in fertility, reproductive medicine, or clinical genetics sales.
- Familiarity with PGT-A, PGT-M, PGT-SR, or expanded carrier screening workflows.
- Existing relationships with REIs, embryologists, lab directors, or patient care coordinators in the Western US.
- Early-stage startup experience where you helped build the commercial function.
Compensation:
Base salary: $140,000–$160,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Quarterly performance bonuses tied to sales targets. Equity participation with stock options. A budget for marketplace benefits is available.
