Position Summary
Cohere is seeking an exceptional Head of Product Marketing to drive the adoption of our cutting-edge AI models and platform. In this hands-on leadership role you'll craft compelling narratives for technical and business audiences, highlighting the transformative power of our technology. A key focus will be positioning our enterprise AI solutions as the superior choice for both developers and business decision-makers.
This role demands a passion for translating complex technical capabilities into clear value propositions and use cases. You'll collaborate across teams to align messaging with Cohere's brand. The ideal candidate is a technical product marketing leader who excels at storytelling and communicating value, especially to developer and executive audiences.
As our Head of Product Marketing, you will:
- Possess a deep understanding of the AI/ML landscape, particularly in NLP, along with a proven track record in marketing B2B software or enterprise AI solutions. You are known for your ability to distill complex technical concepts into accessible, impactful messaging.
- Collaborate with executive and GTM leadership to define and execute a product marketing strategy, aligning it with business objectives and AI industry trends.
- Conduct comprehensive market analysis and competitive research to identify opportunities and challenges in the rapidly evolving AI landscape.
- Develop and implement GTM plans for new AI products and services, including positioning, messaging, pricing, and distribution strategies. You are known for your ability to orchestrate impactful product launches.
- Partner closely with the sales team to provide tools, training, and resources for effectively selling our AI products to enterprise clients. You will build compelling marketing and sales-facing collateral.
- Design and execute compelling content to help drive demand generation campaigns, qualified leads, and nurture prospects through the sales funnel.
- Identify and leverage impactful customer success stories to build credibility and showcase real-world AI applications of Cohere.
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for product marketing, making data-driven adjustments to optimize effectiveness.
- Work closely with product management and sales teams to ensure alignment on models, and launches while gathering market feedback.
This career opportunity may be a good match for you if you have:
- 15+ years of experience working in marketing or product management, with 10+ years of experience in enterprise marketing in cloud or SasS technology companies.
- In-depth understanding of machine learning, particularly generative models, and a strong understanding of cloud computing, large language models (LLMs), and AI products.
- Experience working in enterprise technology and operating in a global role or on a global scale is essential.
- Experience as a thought leader in the field of technical marketing.
- Proven ability to craft compelling value propositions and positioning strategies that resonate with diverse stakeholders.
- A keen eye for aesthetics and the ability to collaborate with design to create visually appealing assets.
- Track record of successful collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Proven people leadership experience and experience building & leading an enterprise grade marketing team.
- MBA or Master's degree in computer science or engineering is a strong plus.
