We conduct challenging research across multidisciplinary fields related to agri-food products to address environmental issues. Our approach focuses on developing new technologies to produce agricultural products through biological processes without using synthetic chemicals, based on evidence from our R&D results. Our technology also emphasizes carbon capture and utilization to create valuable products, representing an innovative approach.Job Brief:We are seeking Research Assistants to support the PI and other lab researchers in conducting research aligned with project goals and to contribute to sustainable growth.Key Responsibilities:- Conduct research (R&D) to develop new technologies for combating global climate change and improving crop production.- Assist PI and lab researchers in executing project research as per the project objectives.- Collaborate with external research professionals.- Prepare figures and diagrams for presentations and publications.- Present findings at lab meetings, respond to challenges, and engage in idea exchanges to advance science.- Communicate results and collaborate with colleagues within the lab.- Demonstrate a significant intellectual input into project design.- Read and interpret relevant scientific literature.- Contribute to preparing articles on research outcomes and progress, and submit them for publication.- Assist with editing and proofing grant proposals, annual reports, and manuscripts, and suggest modifications to the Principal Investigator.Note: This position will initially be offered as a volunteer role, with payment upon demonstrated performance after a probation period. Students interested solely in volunteering are also encouraged to apply.Qualifications :- Bachelor’s or M.S. degree in any science discipline. Students pursuing Bachelor’s or M.S. degrees in science are eligible if interested in developing their research skills.- Strong written and verbal communication skills.- Proficiency with relevant computer software and being tech-savvy.- Effective presentation skills for diverse audiences.Location:Toronto, ON, Canada (Hybrid)Weekly working hours: Flexible.We thank all applicants for their interest.
